Uzbekistan, Venezuela eye to enhance trade-economic cooperation
On June 4, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with residence in Tehran, Carlos Antonio Alcalá Cordones, the press service of the MFA reported.
Accepting his credentials, Kamilov congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high and responsible post and wished him fruitful work.
At the meeting, the current state of Uzbekistan – Venezuela relations, prospects for their development were discussed both in a bilateral format and within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.
The parties expressed mutual interest in enhancing cooperation, primarily in trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian fields.
