On September 6-8, the International Festival of Archery and Folk Games will be held in Khiva. As the international sports festival is held for the first time in the Khorezm region, it will be based on the experience of the World Ethnosport Confederation, the press service of the tourism committee reported.
In this regard, on July 19, a group of guests from the Republic of Turkey led by Bilal Erdogan, head of the World Ethnosport Confederation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Archers' Foundation, member of the High Advisory Council of the Turkish Youth Foundation, arrived in the Khorezm region.
The purpose of the visit was to further strengthen cooperation, bring it to a new level and participate in a conference dedicated to the international tournament on archery and folk games “International Archery Festival” in Khiva.
At the beginning of the visit, the Turkish guests inspected the territory of the State Historical Archaeological Museum Itchan-Kala Reserve, where the sports festival will be held. The guests also familiarized themselves with the Kukhna-Ark complex, Pakhlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, Kozi-Kalon madrasah, Kalta Minor tower and other sights.
