Officials must apologize to the people – UzLiDeP representative on the tragedy in Yunusabad

A representative of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Murodov said that officials should apologize to the people.

“The deputies must be included in the commission for monitoring the incident at the metro. An investigation will be carried out, but officials need to apologize to the people.

Two or three years ago, the construction industry was completely closed. We did not know what was going on there or what had changed. The “Qishloq qurilish invest” and “Uzshahar qurilish invest” institutions are still corrupt.

People are certainly unhappy that large-scale construction projects in our country are “customized” for the holidays. Our party does not welcome this practice,” he said.

According to Nodirjon Mukhtorov, representative of the “Milliy tiklanish” party, insufficient attention is paid to labor protection and safety.

“We care about the safety of our compatriots, who work abroad.

Opening of large construction projects during the holidays has become our tradition. But an opening ceremony should happen only when the object is ready,” he said.

In turn, a representative of the “Adolat” Social Democratic Party Farhod Eshankulov said that every trade union should have a labor protection system.

It should be recalled that on December 18 at about 10:00, there was a partial collapse of soil at the construction site of the Yunusabad metro line, and several workers were buried alive under the ground. According to the latest data, 6 people died as a result of the tragedy.
