TBC Bank receives preliminary permission to create a bank in Tashkent

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan issued a preliminary permission to the TBC Bank Group PLC, a Georgian company, to establish TBC Bank in Tashkent.
“On January 20, the Banking Supervision Committee of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan decided to issue preliminary permission to the TBC Bank Group PLC to open a joint-stock commercial bank TBC Bank in Tashkent,” the CB said in a statement.
It is noted that prior permission to create a bank is given for a period of up to six months.
During this period, the founders must take appropriate organizational and technical measures and form the authorized capital of the bank to obtain a license to render banking services.
