Admission to universities to be simplified

It is planned to simplify the admission to higher education institutions.

The draft State Program for implementation of the Actions Strategy in the “Year of development of science and digital economy” has been announced.

It is noted that by May 1, 2020 an action plan will be developed.

The plan will provide for:

- establishment of a special expert group consisting of responsible officials of relevant ministries and agencies, scientists, local and foreign experts;

- unifying the final state attestation of general secondary education and admission to higher education institution, development of proposals on conducting the single state tests and their discussion among the general public;

- development of proposals on carrying out the state tests as an experiment.

Responsible bodies - the State Testing Center, the Ministry of Public Education, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and the State Inspection for Supervision of Quality in Education.
