Citizen of Tashkent may be imprisoned for 5 years for holding a festive event during quarantine
The prosecutor’s office of the Yunusabad district opened a criminal case against a citizen who violated the quarantine rules.
Prosecuting bodies of Tashkent opened a criminal case against a man, who organized a wedding event during the quarantine period. Now he faces up to a 5-year prison sentence, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
It was recently reported that a resident of the Yunusabad district in Tashkent organized a festive event despite receiving a written warning from responsible institutions.
“The prosecutor’s office of the Yunusabad district has opened a criminal case against the citizen under the Article “Violation of sanitary legislation and the rules for combating epidemics” of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway,” the report says.
It should be recalled that Uzbekistan has introduced a reinforced regime for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection.
