Foreign Ministry commented on charter flights and assistance to Uzbek citizens abroad
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to important questions and requests related to charter flights.
Is there a schedule of charter flights for the repatriation of Uzbek citizens abroad?
Currently, the ministry does not have information on the schedule of charter flights for the return of Uzbek citizens abroad.
If there is such a schedule, is it possible to publish it? Uzbeks in Qatar are currently unemployed and want to return home. They want to know how long to wait for charter flights.
The Special Republican Commission decides on the organization of charter flights. After the relevant decision of the Special Commission is made, the notice of charter flights and their routes will be published on Internet resources.
It is recommended that our compatriots in Qatar apply to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait and provide the necessary documents (passport information and telephone number) for inclusion in the list of those wishing to return home on charter flights.
Once the departure date of charter flights is determined by the Special Commission, the Embassy will notify our compatriots of the decision.
If there is no schedule, how will the MFA help Uzbek citizens abroad? Does the Foreign Ministry have such an opportunity? Will it contact with Uzbeks abroad?
Given the lack of information on the schedule of charter flights, the MFA recommends our compatriots abroad to contact the embassies or consulates of Uzbekistan for more information.
