A lawsuit filed against LLC “Korean and migration xususiy bandlik agentligi”

A lawsuit has been filed against officials of the LLC “Korean and migration xususiy bandlik agentligi”, who deceived people by promising to send them to work in South Korea.

In the Yakkasaray district court on criminal proceedings, an open trial has begun against defendants Qakhramon Otakulov (director of the “Korean and migration xususiy bandlik agentligi”), Kang Nam Kyu (foreign partner of the agency), Odil Kabilov (director of the agency’s regional branch in Namangan), Khushvaqt Turdiyev (founder of the LLC “Korean and migration xususiy bandlik agentligi”), Musurmon Alikulov (director of the agency’s department for academic affairs), Anvarjon Shamshiddinov (manager of the agency’s regional branch in Namangan), Orifjon Jurayev (treasurer of the agency’s regional branch in Namangan) and 4 other people working in various positions in the agency.

According to the case file, the defendant Qakhramon Otakulov and others made false promises to employ citizens of Uzbekistan abroad, collected illegally a large amount of money from people, who applied to the LLC “Korean and migration xususiy bandlik agentligi” and spent it on their personal needs.

There are 2,372 victims and 4 civil plaintiffs in this criminal case.

According to the indictment, the amount of material damage amounted to 24.2 billion soums, of which 13.3 billion soums were recovered during the preliminary investigation.

Defendant Qakhramon Otakulov and others are accused of committing crimes under Articles 168 (fraud), 228 (manufacture, forgery, sale or use of documents, stamps, seals, forms) and 243 (money laundering) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.

“The trial is underway, the next hearing is scheduled for June 8,” Aziz Obidov, the head of the Supreme Court’s press service, told Kun.uz.
