Prices for cement products down in exchange trades
In July this year, a total of 853.7 thousand tons of cement were sold at the exchange trades by 16 manufacturers. This figure amounted to 770.7 thousand tons in June (83 thousand tons more in July).
Given the high seasonal demand for the product, the daily volume of trades in July reached an average of 42 thousand tons. This figure amounted to 32-33 thousand tons in June.
In turn, in order to meet the demand for cement in the domestic market and ensure price stability, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted the resolution No. 450 on July 23, 2020 “On measures to simplify the procedure for importing cement and provide the domestic market with quality cement”.
As a result, since July 21 (the highest price was observed on July 20 and was 891.4 soums), the average price of cement started to fall gradually and on July 29, it amounted to 761.8 soums – a decrease of 15%.
96.4% of the products sold in July this year accounted for the share of JSC “Kyzylkumsement”, JSC “Akhangaransement”, JSC “Bekabadsement”, JSC “Quvasoysement”, Jizzakh and Sherabad plants of JSC “Almalyk MMC”.
A total of 3,509 organizations from all cities and districts of the country purchased cement in July, this figure was 2,559 in June (+950).
