New rates of customs duties approved

The rates of customs duties were approved by the relevant decision of the Government, UzA reports.

The new customs duty rates provide for the expansion of the range of paid services rendered by the state customs service and fixed rates of customs duties.

It is noted that some types of customs duties related to the issuance of permits will be abolished and brought in line with international standards.

The rates of duties for customs clearance of goods under the regimes “processing in the customs territory” and “processing outside the customs territory” will be reduced, the document says.

Also, instead of administrative liability for non-compliance with the terms of delivery of goods transported under customs control, customs duty is introduced as a financial measure.
