Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia discuss joint investment projects in energy, agriculture and tourism
On December 3, 2020, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Furqat Sidikov, held videoconference talks with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Adel Mirdad.
According to the MFA press service, the sides examined the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for further development of cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
They exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming joint events at various levels.
The meeting underlined the importance of taking additional measures to prevent the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic on bilateral trade and economic ties and the progressive increase in the volume of mutual trade.
Also, special attention was paid to joint investment projects in such sectors of the economy as energy, agriculture, tourism and pharmaceuticals.
