Uzbekistan, Iran considering resumption of regular flights
Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov, who is on a visit to Tehran, met with the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Mohammad Eslami.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for further development of cooperation in the transport-communications and logistics spheres.
The importance of the early launch of intraregional transport corridors, which will contribute to deepening trade-economic cooperation and expanding mutually beneficial ties, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchanges between Uzbekistan and Iran, was emphasized at the meeting.
During the negotiations, the sides considered the possibility of restoring regular flights between the two countries.
