Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov

At the meeting, Alekperov briefed Mirziyoyev on the progress of the implementation of priority investment and socially significant projects in the republic with the participation of the Russian oil and gas company.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to the issues of overcoming the consequences of the pandemic and the implementation of joint projects.

An agreement was also reached on the creation of an interdepartmental working group and the adoption of a “roadmap” to improve the efficiency of projects and expand strategic cooperation with LUKOIL.

It should be noted that today LUKOIL is one of the largest investors in the economy of Uzbekistan. The volume of the company’s investments reaches $10 billion.
