Uzbekistan’s population is increasing by about 2,000 people every day – Statistics Committee
The population of Uzbekistan is growing by an average of about 2,000 people every day, the State Statistics Committee says.
According to the committee, as of October 1, 2021, the permanent population of the republic was 35.1 million people.
Since the beginning of the year, the growth rate of the permanent population has increased by 1.5%. The population of Uzbekistan is growing by an average of 57,811 people per month and by 1.9 thousand people per day.
Earlier it was reported that 670.7 thousand births were registered in January-October 2021.
