Allowances for people with disabilities to increase from April 1
On February 17, the president signed a decree “On further strengthening the measures of social support for people with disabilities”.

In accordance with the document, from April 2022, regardless of the period of disability, the same amount of pension will be provided to persons with disabilities in the amount of 622 thousand soums. According to preliminary estimates, the allowance will increase by 41% for 49,000 people with disabilities.
In addition, a monthly payment of an allowance in the amount of 500,000 soums is introduced to a legal representative (father or mother) caring for a disabled child under 18 who needs outside care.
