Activities of two illegal mining farms with almost 170 video cards stopped in Gulistan
The damage to the state from the illegal use of electricity amounted to 666 million soums.
In the course of an operative event carried out by law enforcement officers, it was established that a previously convicted resident of the city of Gulistan (born in 1981) rented one of the buildings and equipped it for mining by connecting to the power grid, the TV channel Uzbekistan 24 reported.
As a result, the damage to the state amounted to about 532 million soums. During the investigation, 19 mining devices and other items were seized as material evidence.
It also turned out that a resident of the capital (born in 1990) has “mined” cryptocurrencies in the amount of $40,000 since February of this year by installing mining devices in the building of “Gulistan” LLC.
During the audit, it was found that the citizen illegally used electricity, causing damage to the state in the amount of more than 134 million soums. During the search, 148 mining devices were seized from him.
The illicit actions of the above citizens will be legally assessed.
