In January-April 2022, 16,256 divorces were registered in Uzbekistan.
The State Statistics Committee says the city of Tashkent leads by the number of registered divorces – 1,982 cases. The next places are taken by Samarkand and Tashkent regions, where 1,736 and 1,700 divorces were recorded, respectively.
In other regions, the figures are as follows:
- Andijan region - 1,658
- Fergana region - 1628;
- Namangan region - 1404;
- Kashkadarya region - 1342;
- Bukhara region - 923;
- Surkhandarya region - 908;
- Republic of Karakalpakstan - 729;
- Khorezm region - 642;
- Syrdarya region - 580;
- Jizzakh region - 559;
- Navoi region - 465.
Earlier it was reported that in January-March 2022, 57,873 marriages had been registered in the country.
