Statistics Committee names provinces with highest divorce rates

The State Statistics Committee says the city of Tashkent leads by the number of registered divorces – 1,982 cases. The next places are taken by Samarkand and Tashkent regions, where 1,736 and 1,700 divorces were recorded, respectively.

In other regions, the figures are as follows:

• Andijan region - 1,658
• Fergana region - 1628;
• Namangan region - 1404;
• Kashkadarya region - 1342;
• Bukhara region - 923;
• Surkhandarya region - 908;
• Republic of Karakalpakstan - 729;
• Khorezm region - 642;
• Syrdarya region - 580;
• Jizzakh region - 559;
• Navoi region - 465.

Earlier it was reported that in January-March 2022, 57,873 marriages had been registered in the country.
