Annual inflation reaches 11% in May
In May, monthly inflation was 1%. This is twice as high as in the same period last year (0.5%), follows from the report of the State Statistics Committee.
In annual terms, inflation, after a slight decline in April, reached 11% for the first time.
Since the beginning of the year, prices in the consumer sector have increased by 5.5% with an average monthly value of 1.1%.
In May, for the first time this year, non-food products became the leaders in terms of price growth, which, on average, rose by 1.3% per month.
Food products grew by 1.2%, services - 0.4%.
