Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State in autumn. This was stated to journalists on Tuesday by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, TASS reported.
“A lot of events are planned for the fall. Here is the SCO summit in Samarkand in September, in addition to our eastern economic forum. Then – the Council of CIS Heads of State in Nur-Sultan on October 14,” he said.
It should be recalled that in February 2021, the President signed an order “On measures to prepare for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, held in the city of Samarkand in 2022”.
The document approved the composition of the republican organizing commission for preparations for the SCO summit and a phased work plan for holding the summit events.
Later, Deputy PM Aziz Abdukhakimov said that 8 hotels of different categories and stars would be built in Samarkand. They will be designed for 1.2 thousand rooms, which will accommodate guests and participants of the upcoming summit.
