Uzbekistan, Iceland discuss intensifying bilateral cooperation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held online negotiations with the Ambassador of Iceland with residence in Moscow, Árni Þór Sigurðsson.

During the talks, the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for the further development of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.
The parties noted the need to strengthen interaction within the framework of international structures, as well as to expand the legal framework through the conclusion of new bilateral agreements.
The sides exchanged views on the establishment of cooperation in developing freedom of the media in Uzbekistan, as well as the further implementation of the policy of ensuring gender equality, including increasing the socio-political activity of women.
