Gulnara Karimova’s luxury penthouse in Hong Kong sold for $68.4 million
Luxury real estate associated with Gulnara Karimova was sold for a 285 percent profit, despite the fact that she and her partners were in prison, The Globe and Mail reported.
It is noted that the penthouse in The Arch residential complex, located in the most expensive area of Hong Kong, was bought in 2008 by Gulnara Karimova’s company for $36.5 million.
The house was later sold to Rustam Madumarov, the former lead singer of Dado, who was Karimova’s business partner.
In 2016, while Gulnara Karimova and Rustam Madumarov were imprisoned, the penthouse was again sold for $68.4 million for a 285 percent profit.
It should be recalled that in February this year, the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan announced the return of Gulnara Karimova’s assets from France.
