Senate to convene next plenary session on July 8
On July 5, the Senate Council of Oliy Majlis held a meeting.
At the meeting, MPs adopted a resolution to convene the twenty-eighth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis on July 8 this year. Reportedly, within the framework of the plenary session, which will be held via a videoconference, a number of important issues will be considered.
Among them are the laws “On tax consulting activities”, “On the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies”, “On amendments and addenda to the Tax Code of Uzbekistan”.
The senators will also discuss the issues of sending parliamentary requests to the Cabinet of Ministers on cleaning up riverbeds and strengthening their banks, the negative impact of mining of non-metallic minerals on environmental objects, water and road facilities, and on the implementation of localization programs in the industrial sector of the economy.
Also, during the plenary session, the results of parliamentary inquiries sent to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the measures taken to ensure sustainable growth in export volumes and diversification of its range, on the state of ensuring the safety of vehicles equipped with gas cylinders in the country, as well as on the state of medical care provided to pregnant women and women of reproductive age will be considered.
