Uzbekistan and EAEU sign a document on additional areas of cooperation

During the meeting, priority areas for mutually beneficial cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union were considered, primarily in the areas of trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, innovation, migration and tourism.
The head of state especially noted the well-established systemic interaction of Uzbekistan with the organization’s structures as an observer state. A memorandum and a plan of joint activities until 2023 are being implemented. A list of additional areas of cooperation has been signed today.
The positive dynamics of growth in indicators of mutual trade and investment with the EAEU countries was noted with satisfaction.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of further elimination of trade barriers, strengthening of industrial cooperation and stimulation of business contacts, development of project cooperation, promotion of projects and programs in the field of transit, simplification of migration procedures and expansion of tourist exchange.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the joint working group.
