Karakalpakstan receives investment funds up to 1 trillion soums
According to Tajiddin Kosbugabetov, an expert of the Finance Ministry of Karakalpakstan, the amount of investments in the region has increased tenfold in recent years. Consequently, the living conditions of people in districts and cities of the region are continuously being developed.
As Kosbugabetov reports, many schools have been built in Karakalpakstan in recent years on the basis of investment programs, and the existing ones are being renovated.
“Until 2015, 30 billion soums were allocated within the framework of the investment program, and by now these numbers have reached 1 trillion soums.
Within this program, 105 billion soums have been allocated for the repair of Muynak airport, 74 billion soums for the presidential school in Nukus, and 85 billion soums for the complete reconstruction of the medical clinic in Nukus.
In addition, the city of Nukus is being beautified at the expense of allocated 205 billion soums: green areas are being opened, highways, sidewalks and bicycle paths are being built. People of Karakalpakstan are fortunate to see such positive changes,” an official of the Finance Ministry of Karakalpakstan said.
Injigul Mamutova, an honored economist in Karakalpakstan, said that 81 billion soums were allocated for construction and improvement works in Muynak district. 50 billion soums were allocated to Bozatov and Takhtakopir districts, and 200 billion soums were allocated for the development of Chimboy, Kanlikol and Kegeyli districts.
“All this serves to raise the people’s living standard. Now there is abundance everywhere, people have the freedom to do something.
I have been working in the financial system since 1986. Before, our monthly payments regularly delayed, and we always had problems with currency. Thank God, there are no such problems now,” Injigul Mamutova concludes.
