Over 72,000 stateless persons received citizenship of Uzbekistan in 2 years
Over the past two years, more than 72,000 stateless persons have become citizens of Uzbekistan, a responsible official of the Main Directorate for Migration and Citizenship under the Ministry of Internal Affairs said at a briefing.
In total, from 2019 to the present, biometric passports for traveling abroad have been issued to 6,183,355 citizens.
Currently, citizens of 57 foreign countries can enter Uzbekistan on an electronic visa, and citizens of 76 foreign countries can stay in the republic without a visa for up to 30 days.
From January 1, 2020, visa-free entry to Uzbekistan is valid for a period of not more than 7 days for citizens of China, including Hong Kong.
