Changes coming into force from September 1 announced
Kun.uz reminds citizens of some changes in the legislation of Uzbekistan that will come into force on September 1, 2022.
ꞏ Citizens engaged in transportation of passengers in light vehicles will be included in the list of self-employed persons;
ꞏ A system of issuing power of attorneys giving the right to drive a motor vehicle in electronic form will be introduced through the Single Portal;
ꞏ Maternity benefits will be also paid to women working in the private sector;
ꞏ Cars that are “less than 10 years old” will not be required to undergo mandatory technical inspection;
ꞏ The “tinting” permit will continue to be valid when the owner or license plate of the vehicle changes;
ꞏ Citizens who have served a sentence of deprivation of liberty will be given a package of social-material assistance;
ꞏ A part of domestic tourism expenses will be returned to residents of Uzbekistan;
doctors will be allowed to practice family medicine on their own;
ꞏ A 50% bonus will be paid to personnel with an internationally recognized certificate in general secondary educational institutions of the Public Education Ministry system;
ꞏ 16 family doctor centers will be established in the territory of Karakalpakstan;
ꞏ Adoption of orphans in family orphanages is carried out based on the decision of the district (city) khokim;
ꞏ The need for housing for orphans will be determined through the “Unified Register of Social Protection” information system;
ꞏ In the process of certification of foreign language teachers, four competencies will be evaluated in the proficiency tests in the subject of education;
ꞏ A register of rural areas with dense labor resources will be introduced;
ꞏ Economic entities will be imposed financial penalties for performing anti-competitive actions;
ꞏ A number of non-governmental organizations will be given the opportunity to receive information through the “Electronic Government” system;
ꞏ The procedure for reporting of heads of the medical system to the regional council and the assembly of citizens’ gatherings will be introduced;
ꞏ Children will be taught traffic discipline;
a ranking of exemplary schools will be formed and announced in all districts (cities);
ꞏ Employees of treatment and prevention institutions will be paid an additional monthly fee for their scientific degree;
ꞏ At least 10% of the counters of the pharmacy sales hall will be required to place biologically active supplements and medicines made from medicinal plants;
ꞏ The procedure for providing conclusions on earthquake resistance to objects planned for new construction in seismically active zones will be introduced;
ꞏ The basic tariff rates of trainers of sports schools under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Sports Development will be increased by 1.35 times;
ꞏ Journalists will be encouraged to learn foreign languages;
ꞏ Rating of driving schools will be maintained.
