According to the analysis, as of January 1, 2022, the percentage share of the permanent population in the CIS countries was:
— 1.3% in Russia
— 14.6% in Ukraine
— 11.9% in Uzbekistan
— 6.5% in Kazakhstan
— 3.5% in Azerbaijan
— 3.3% in Belarus
— 3.2% in Tajikistan
— 2.3% in the Kyrgyz Republic
— 1.5% in Turkmenistan
— 1.0% in Armenia
— 0.9% in Moldova
In terms of birth rate, Uzbekistan is a clear leader in the region with 25.9 births per 1,000 population.
