Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Kyrgyzstan
On December 9, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kyrgyzstan.
This was announced at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Artykbaev.
During the visit, Mirziyoyev will sign a number of documents with the authorities of Kyrgyzstan. In particular, on the sidelines of the visit, the presidents of the two countries will exchange documents ratifying the agreement on the joint management of the Andijan reservoir.
The parties will also sign a document to simplify the border crossing between citizens of the two republics.
In addition, on December 9, Bishkek will host the EAEU summit, where Uzbekistan has observer status.
The heads of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union will discuss the current economic situation, as well as topical issues of integration in the Eurasian space. The leaders of the EAEU countries will sum up the results of the outgoing year and exchange views on the prospects for the development of the union.
