Uzbekistan attracting Saudi investments to implement major projects

During the dialogue, the current state of bilateral cooperation in the trade-economic, investment and energy sectors and the prospects for its development, as well as measures to accelerate the implementation of the agreements signed during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia in August 2022, were considered.
There was an exchange of constructive ideas and proposals to accelerate the implementation of joint projects in the fields of telecommunications, healthcare, agriculture and retail, alternative energy, banking, chemical, pharmaceutical industries with large Saudi companies such as Sabic, Saudi Telecom, Dr. Suleiman Al-Habib Medical Group, Jamjoom Pharma, Al Rajhi International, Ajlan & Bros Holding Group and Al Hokair Group, and the National Bank of Saudi Arabia.
Separately, the possibility of attracting investments from Saudi Arabia for the implementation of large regional transport and logistics, energy and infrastructure projects was considered. The Saudi side assured the Uzbek colleagues that it is ready to fully support the successful implementation of the discussed initiatives.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to continue joint efforts to promote the agreements reached within the framework of strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.
