Senate to consider holding a referendum on new Constitution tomorrow

The thirty-eighth plenary session of the Oliy Majlis Senate will be held on March 14.

The thirty-eighth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis will be held on March 14, 2023 at 15:00 in the building of the Senate of Oliy Majlis in Tashkent, the Senate Press Service reported. 

It is noted that taking into account the decisions of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis on March 10, 2023 and the Constitutional Court on March 13, 2023, the issue of holding a referendum of Uzbekistan on the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” should be considered in the Senate of Oliy Majlis.

In this regard, this issue will be discussed at the thirty-eighth plenary session of the Oliy Majlis Senate, which will be held on March 14, 2023.

Senators, members of the Government, heads of state bodies, ministries and departments, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in the country and international organizations, members of the Youth Parliament under the Senate, as well as mass media representatives will participate in the plenary meeting.
