Uzbekistan, Malaysia discuss issues of intensifying political dialogue at highest levels
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov today met with Deputy Secretary General for Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Norman bin Mohammed.
During the meeting, the Malaysian side was provided with detailed information on the large-scale changes being undertaken in New Uzbekistan in all spheres of society and the state, as well as on the content and essence of the ongoing constitutional reforms, their main goals and objectives.
The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects for further development of the Uzbek-Malaysian cooperation. Special attention at the talks was paid to the issues of intensifying political dialogue at high levels, expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation, diversifying cooperation in trade-economic and investment areas, as well as strengthening cultural-humanitarian cooperation, in particular in the field of education.
The parties reached an agreement to continue diplomatic contacts to discuss practical steps to implement the existing significant potential to expand cooperation in the above areas.
