UzTest director received a salary of about 136 million soums for 2 months
Jamshid Ganiyev, the director general of the Center for Scientific Testing and Quality Control, received a salary of 51 million soums in January and 85 million soums in February. This is 17.5 times more than the average salary in Uzbekistan. Earlier, it was reported that the chief accountant of this organization received a salary of 468 million soums for 2 months.
Social networks spread information on the monthly income of Jamshid Ganiyev, the director general of the Scientific-Testing and Quality Control Center of Uzbekistan (UzTest).
Reportedly, Ganiyev received a total of 551 million 660 thousand soums for his work at UzTest for 12 months from March 2022 to March 2023. His salary in January of this year alone was 50,976,280 soums, and his salary in February was 84,908,480 soums.
“A special working group was formed by the technical regulatory agency of Uzbekistan regarding various information about J. Ganiyev’s income in January and February of this year, which was spread in social networks.
Currently, this working group is conducting a full study of the permanent monthly salaries of the Center’s employees. Additional information on the findings will be provided through our official pages,” UzTest Telegram channel said.
Earlier, it was reported that the chief accountant of UzTest paid him in the amount of 157.6 million soums in January and 310.8 million soums in February.
Kun.uz contacted the UzTest information service for additional information. It was reported that the working group has not yet provided additional information on the situation.
“Every detail is being checked”
Technically, Raufjon Rasulov, the head of the information service of the regulatory agency, informed that in 2-3 days, detailed information will be provided regarding the studies of the working group.
“In order to study this issue, a working group was formed last week by the leadership of the Technical Regulatory Agency. Currently, several salary-related aspects are being studied. The work is not over yet. Legally, every detail is being investigated. For example, an accountant should not be involved in the certification process. In Uzbekistan, the average salary is set, based on which employees working in state organizations are also paid. There is a great deal here. In two to three days, the working group will complete the monitoring,” Raufjon Rasulov said.
What is the average salary in Uzbekistan?
According to the results of 2022, the average monthly nominal salary in Uzbekistan was 3 million 892 thousand soums. Salaries of medical workers and representatives of the education sector remain below the average level.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in 2022, 28% or 1,404,377 employees of budget and non-budget organizations received a salary of up to 1 million soums. The number of monthly recipients from 1 million to 2 million soums was 1.2 million (24.6%). Also, 25.2% of employees earned monthly income from 2 million to 4 million soums. 77.8% of employees working in budget and non-budget organizations on the republic scale earn less than 4 million soums per month.
