Employee of Fergana district administration caught red-handed while receiving $4,000 in bribe

The representative of the administration promised to help with winning 3 hectares of land through an open e-platform.
On April 12 of this year, law enforcement officers conducted a search operation. A land control inspector of the agricultural department under the Uzbekistan district administration was caught by the event participants while receiving money in the amount of $4,000 from a conditional buyer involved in the event in exchange for winning 3 hectares of land intended for agricultural purposes on the balance sheet of the administration through an open electronic platform, and the documents were issued in the appropriate manner.
Based on the collected documents, the Fergana regional office of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes has opened a criminal case under Paragraph “a”, Article 168-3 and Article 211 of the Criminal Code. Preliminary investigations are underway.
