A 30-year-old emergency medicine doctor was beaten by the patient’s husband and his friends in Asaka district. It is said that this was caused by the husband’s jealousy. The situation was brought under control by law enforcement agencies.

Reports of a doctor being beaten up in Asaka district have spread on social media. The information service of the Andijan Regional Health Department has issued an official statement on the case.

It is noted that on the night of April 24, an unconscious woman was brought to the emergency department of the Asaka district medical association in an ambulance. The patient’s husband made demands that his wife should be examined by a female doctor, not a male doctor. Due to her husband’s jealousy, a disagreement arose between him and the doctors, which turned into a fight.

“The next day, the conflict continued in another place, as the medical worker was chased. The 30-year-old doctor was beaten by the patient’s husband and his friends, as a result, he was seriously injured. The doctor was admitted to the regional branch of the Republican Medical Center with a diagnosis of severe brain injury and concussion, he is currently being treated,” the official report reads.
