Turkish Air Force commander arrives in Uzbekistan
On April 26, at the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister of Defense - Commander of the Air Defense Forces and the Air Force, Major General Akhmad Burkhanov received a delegation led by the Commander of the Air Force of the Republic of Turkey, General of the Army Attila Gulan.
According to the press service of the defense ministry, during the talks, a comprehensive discussion took place on the prospects for further strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, cooperation in the field of the air force, and advanced training of specialists in this field.
Following the meeting, the parties presented each other with memorable gifts and expressed their sincere wishes.
In addition, representatives of the delegation visited the military unit located in Chirchik and got acquainted with the activities of the military unit, and exemplary flights were demonstrated for them.
“The Commander of the Air Force of the Republic of Turkey highly appreciated the knowledge and experience of the military specialists of Uzbekistan and emphasized that the practical work organized in this area will serve to further strengthen bilateral relations between our countries,” the report reads.
The visit of the Turkish military delegation to the country continues. According to the program of the visit, on April 27, representatives of the delegation will get acquainted with the activities of the Higher Military Aviation School located in Karshi, as well as with the sights of Samarkand.
