Uzbekistan increases EV imports
China was the major supplier of electric vehicles to Uzbekistan in the first quarter of the year.

In January-March 2023, Uzbekistan imported 1,668 electric cars worth $54.7 million from 8 foreign countries.
According to the Statistics Agency, the import of electric vehicles increased by 1,215 compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported EVs from the following countries:
- China - 1,444
- Hong Kong - 183
- Germany - 27
- South Korea - 6
- UAE - 5
