Officials tasked with ensuring uninterrupted operation of electricity system in summer
A videoconference meeting on the situation of introduction of renewable energy sources and the measures taken to ensure the stable operation of the energy system in the summer season has started under the chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the meeting, it was moted that it is necessary to consider measures to ensure stable and continuous operation of electrical systems in summer months, to prevent their failure due to load overload.
30,000 kilometers of low-voltage electrical network and 10,000 transformers were ordered to be repaired in a timely and high-quality manner.
In this regard, a special program for improving electricity supply was adopted in March in Tashkent, and 4.2 trillion soums were allocated for it. According to it, 900 kilometers of power lines, 230 transformers are planned to be renewed and reconstructed, and 5 new substations are to be built.
Governors of regions were instructed to calculate the needs for the stock of electrical equipment and materials, and allocate 10 billion soums in each region.
By August 1, 2023, the task of completing the network and transformer repair works has been set. For this purpose, about 400 brigades will be organized in regions, cities and districts.
Also, officials were instructed to supply 6 million cubic meters more gas to thermal power stations, to create 200,000 tons of fuel oil reserves by July 1.
Tasks on strengthening state control in the fuel and energy sector, ending illegal consumption of electricity and gas were also defined.
