In order to bring the inhabitants of the valley closer, 4 electric trains will be launched along the “Andijan-Fergana-Kokand-Namangan-Andijan” railway ring. As a result, 8 trips are organized a day and about 10,000 passengers are transported. $40 million will be involved in this. Presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this at a meeting with Andijan voters, the Kun.uz reporter quoted the presidential candidate as saying.
“By the end of this year, together with the World Bank, a $2.5 billion mega project on the construction of an alternative toll road “Tashkent - Andijan” will begin. As a result of the implementation of the project, the travel time from Andijan to Tashkent will be reduced from the current 5 hours to 3 hours,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Andijan International Airport will also be completely renovated based on modern standards, and $350 million will be allocated to these works.
At the same time, by 2030, 600,000 residents will be provided with centralized drinking water in 427 neighborhoods, and water supply will be improved for 1 million residents.
In order to improve the water supply of 510,000 people in the cities of Andijan, Khanabad and Karasuv, Kurgantepa, Jalakuduq, Andijan, Asaka and Oltinkol districts, the second branch of the main water pipeline “Khanabad-Andijan” will be built. It will involve an investment of $35 million.
“In general, we will increase the coverage of centralized drinking water in the region from the current 87% to 97%,” the candidate said.
