Shavkat Mirziyoyev to depart for Iran tomorrow

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to this country on June 18 at the invitation of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, the presidential press service of Uzbekistan reported.

The head of state is scheduled to hold meetings with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Supreme Religious Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in Tehran.

Current issues of further development of multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Iran, as well as practical cooperation in priority areas will be considered during the talks. Opinions will be exchanged on the regional agenda.

Also, the President of Uzbekistan will visit the exhibition entitled “Achievements of Iran in the field of innovations and technologies”, where the products of the country’s major scientific and industrial institutions will be displayed.

Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to sign a number of documents aimed at the development of all-round practical cooperation.

It should be recalled that in September 2022, President Ebrahim Raisi visited Uzbekistan.
