Presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoev announced his plans for the education sector at a meeting with voters in Bukhara.
“Now, a system of issuing a certificate of qualification will be introduced, evaluating not only the knowledge, but also the skills and abilities of teachers. In general, the monthly salary of teachers will be doubled in the next seven years,” he said.
Mirziyoyev also mentioned the following about teachers:
• educational programs of pedagogic universities will be adapted to the teaching and assessment methods of Presidential schools;
• the teacher who received the qualification certificate will be paid an additional fee, increased from the current 40% to 70%;
• teachers who are aware of advanced technologies and new approaches to teaching and assessing student learning are supported.
It should be noted that Shavkat Mirziyoyev in a number of speeches stated that he considers it a priority task to increase the status of teachers and improve their material supply. In particular, the head of state announced on November 6, 2021, in his inauguration speech at the time of entering the second term of the presidency, that measures will be taken to raise the salary of high-class teachers and doctors to $1,000 within 5 years.
