Deputy FM of Uzbekistan receives a delegation of OIC
On July 10, Deputy Foreign Minister Bakhromjon Aloyev met with a delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), headed by the director of the secretariat Bubakaram Adamu, who arrived in the country to observe the presidential elections.
According to the MFA, the OIC delegation highly appreciated the significance of this political event for the development of the country, emphasizing the high level of voter turnout.
At the meeting, proposals were discussed for further intensifying cooperation between our country and this structure in the fields of education, science and innovation, ecology and other priority areas.
In addition, Deputy Foreign Minister Gairat Fozilov met with the heads of the foreign affairs committees of the Latvian and Estonian parliaments Rihards Kols and Marko Mihkelson, who were in the country as international observers.
During the conversation, the prospects for further intensification of interaction in a bilateral format, as well as within the framework of multilateral structures, were discussed. There was also an exchange of views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
