Uzbekistan, Türkiye discuss strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership
On July 13, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation headed by Fuat Oktay, a Member of the National Assembly of Türkiye.
According to the presidential press service, during the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further expanding Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
At the meeting, Fuat Oktay, on behalf of the President and the fraternal people of Turkiye, conveyed sincere congratulations to Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his convincing victory in the recent presidential election. It was emphasized that the Turkish side highly appreciates and fully supports the pragmatic policy of the President of Uzbekistan, aimed at improving the welfare of the population and strengthening the international authority of the country.
In addition, during the talks, special attention was paid to the development of inter-parliamentary exchanges and the strengthening of parliamentary control over the implementation of decisions taken at the highest level.
Mirziyoyev welcomed the agreements on the establishment of inter-parliamentary cooperation groups and the development of an appropriate roadmap.
The importance of taking coordinated measures to increase the volume of mutual trade and expand air traffic, promote promising investment projects, and hold joint cultural and humanitarian events was also noted.
