Nile Sugar plans to launch sugar production in Uzbekistan
The company intends to invest $500 million in a project for a full cycle of sugar beet cultivation.
The Egyptian company Nile Sugar intends to invest $500 million in sugar production in Uzbekistan, Dunyo reports.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Egypt, Mansurbek Kilichev, held talks with the Executive Director of Nile Sugar, Emad Farid. During the meeting, the head of the Egyptian company noted the investment attractiveness of the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan.
The company plans to launch production in the Jizzakh region. The project for the full cycle of sugar beet cultivation will be implemented on an area of 52,000 hectares.
Currently, a delegation of the Egyptian company is on a business mission to Uzbekistan to explore investment opportunities in the Jizzakh region.
