Gov't plans to implement tourism projects worth $630 million
In particular, a ski complex will be created in Angren, and an artificial lake in the Andijan region.

As Spot wrote earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a new package of measures to support the tourism industry. It includes subsidies for tour operators and extension of payments for the construction of hotels.
The presidential decree also approves a list of large investment projects planned for implementation in the tourism sector. It includes 58 initiatives in all regions of Uzbekistan - hotels, theme complexes and more.
The total cost of the projects is estimated at $630.1 million. Due to their implementation, it is planned to create 7,121 jobs in the tourism industry.
Below is the top 5 projects by investment size:
• the most expensive project on the list will be a recreation area in Angren with an estimated cost of $70 million. It will include a ski complex with a cable car, as well as a hotel and a restaurant.
• the second place is occupied by an entertainment complex in Khanabad, Andijan region. Here, for $69.1 million, it is planned to build an artificial lake for organizing water activities.
• the third place is occupied by a complex of a hotel, a congress hall and entertainment facilities in Termez. It is estimated at $50 million.
• the fourth place is shared by two projects, each of which was estimated at $30 million. One of them is a beach tourist and recreational area around the Tudakul Lake in the Navoi region, the other is a 4-star hotel and a shopping and service complex in Samarkand.
• the project of the center of national crafts and tourism in Kokand is also highlighted. For $21.5 million, it is planned to create a house of artisans, a hotel, a hypermarket and a restaurant.
In total, the program includes 50 hotels, eight complexes for ecotourism, two each for ecotourism and ethnotourism. In Fergana, it is also planned to create a thematic garden, and in Termez - to reconstruct the old city and build an amphitheater.
