Uzbekistan women’s saber fencing team becomes gold winner at Asian Games for the first time

The Uzbekistan women’s saber fencing team pulled off a brilliant victory. Our compatriots Zaynab Dayibekova, Gulistan Perdibayeva, Fernanda Herrera and Paola Pliego became champions of the Asian Games, defeating their Japanese rivals in the final match, which took place in an exciting and uncompromising fight. This is the first gold medal won at the Asian Games in fencing.
