Tashkent’s population exceeds 3 million
The Statistics Agency has provided data on the number of permanent residents of Tashkent.

According to the agency, as of October 1, 2023, the number of citizens permanently residing in Tashkent amounted to 3 million 20 thousand 5 people.
Of these, 1,481,009 are men and 1,538,006 are women.
It is noted that the population of the capital first exceeded 1 million in 1960.
In 1985, the population of Tashkent reached 2 million people.
