Uzbekistan, Lithuania discuss prospects for development of bilateral cooperation
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov today held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Jovita Nelyupshene.
According to the MFA, a discussion took place on a wide range of issues on the Uzbek-Lithuanian agenda, with an emphasis on further strengthening the political dialogue, increasing trade-economic cooperation and expanding cultural-humanitarian ties.
The need to take joint measures to deepen cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries and continue the practice of holding political consultations was stated.
The agenda of the negotiations also included issues of interaction between the two countries within the UN and its specialized agencies, as well as through the European Union.
