Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit China

On October 17-18, the President of Uzbekistan will be in Beijing on a working visit to participate in the third Belt and Road forum.

During the forum, the participants are expected to discuss further development of trade and economic cooperation, strengthening of transport and communication interdependence, "green" energy, promotion of digitization programs and other relevant issues.

Also, the main results achieved in the multilateral partnership during the past ten years will be summarized, and new tasks for future cooperation will be defined.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev will deliver a keynote speech at the plenary session of the forum and state his point of view on current issues of international cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative.

The program of the visit includes talks with President Xi Jinping and Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning, as well as other bilateral meetings.
