Senate to convene for next plenary session on October 27
At the plenary session, senators will discuss laws on amending some legislative acts, and will also consider the traffic law and the issue of electing a children’s ombudsman.
The forty-sixth plenary meeting of the Senate of Oliy Majlis will begin its work on October 27 in the meeting room of the upper house of Oliy Majlis in Tashkent.
At the plenary session, which will be held via videoconferencing, a number of laws and issues will be discussed.
In particular, the laws “On Probation”, “On Road Traffic”, four laws on amendments and additions to the Civil Procedural Code, the Economic Procedural Code, the Administrative Responsibility Code, the Administrative Proceedings Code in connection with improving the procedure for verifying the legality and validity of judicial decisions.
It is also planned to discuss the laws “On introducing amendments and additions to the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with improving the procedure for verifying the legality, validity and fairness of court decisions”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the size of land plots allocated for dekhkan farming” and “On introducing amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Security Activities”.
In addition, the Law “On the Ratification of the Agreement on the Establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund (Ankara, March 16, 2023)” and the issue of electing the Oliy Majlis Commissioner for Children’s Rights (Children’s Ombudsman) will be considered.
