Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan intensifying further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation
Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the Mäjilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Erlan Koshanov, who is visiting our country.
According to the press service of the head of our state, at the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Mäjilis of Kazakhstan conveyed to the leader of our country sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the conversation, current issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed. The consistent strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance was emphasized with satisfaction. Indicators of mutual trade turnover and the number of joint ventures are steadily growing, industrial cooperation projects are being implemented in the automotive, textile, electrical, logistics and other industries.
The fruitful results of the first meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Council between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Mäjilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan were especially noted.
Special attention was paid to the importance of further developing close inter-parliamentary ties in order to unconditionally implement agreements at the highest level, expand interregional cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchange.
An important area identified is the exchange of experience in the field of legislative activity, the development of self-government bodies and youth support, including the organization of visits by delegations of young deputies.
